Curriculum Vitae breve de Martín Mérida


 

Martín Mérida
PROFESOR, POETA Y ESCRITOR.
 

Martín Mérida es profesor en el Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara; escenario donde combina su trabajo de poeta y escritor, con la impartición de cursos talleres y conferencias, en relación con las áreas de Filosofía, Ética, Literatura, Desarrollo Humano y Compromiso Social.

 
Desde hace un poco más de veinte años, se ha dedicado a la enseñanza dentro de la perspectiva humanística. Enseñanza donde la literatura, con memoria, tiene un papel fundamental. Y antes, dentro y fuera de esta línea del tiempo, ha tenido vivencias directas con comunidades marginales del país, razón ésta  por la que en sus siete libros que se le han editado, resuene la cuestión ética, política y social.
 
Es licenciado en lengua y literatura hispanoamericana por la Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas (UNACH) y licenciado en filosofía con estudios de maestría en educación en la UNIVA y maestro en desarrollo humano por el ITESO. Debido a su interés por la filosofía, concluyó en este 20011 sus estudios de maestría en filosofía y ciencias sociales en el ITESO. Ha sido becario tanto del CONECULTA Chiapas como del CECA Jalisco. En 1999 obtuvo el premio nacional de poesía «UDM» y en agosto del 2003, ganó los XVII Juegos Florales Nacionales Amado Nervo. Ha publicado los siguientes libros de poesía: Donde convoca el alma (UNACH, 1996), El milagro de tu voz distinta (ITESO, 1999), La pasión según un hombre cualquiera (MANTIS EDITORES, 2002), El país de la mirada (UAN y LITERALIA EDITORES, 2003), El país de la mirada, (LITERALIA EDITORES, 2007. Segunda edición ilustrada), El viaje que no elegimos (LITERALIA EDITORES 2009), Los zapatos del niño guerrero (EDITORIAL LA ZONÁMBULA y TEC DE MONTERREY, 2011). En el 2005 su primera novela: El poeta y el niño de la piedra, fue publicada por el CECA, Jalisco. Martín Mérida, además de haber prologado varios libros de horizonte literario, ha sido incluido en varias antologías poéticas del país, también escribe artículos “desde donde le aprieta el zapato;” artículos aparecidos en revistas y periódicos de nivel nacional.
 
Porque la vida es ritmo que invita a  la reflexión, Martín Mérida es también maratonista y montañista.

Martín Mérida is a professor at the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara; where he combines his work as a poet and a writer; imparting courses, workshops, and conferences, related with the areas of Philosophy, Ethics, Literature, Human Development and Social Commitment.
 
For more than twenty years, he has dedicated his life to teaching in a humanistic perspective in which literature, with remembrance, has a fundamental role. And before, inside and out of this time line, he has had direct experiences with marginal communities in the country; therefore, topics such as ethics, politics and society have been strongly emphasized in his seven edited books.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Hispanoamerican Literature and Language in Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH); he also has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a Master’s degree in teaching at UNIVA as well as a Master’s degree in Human Development at ITESO. Due to his interest in philosophy, he has concluded his Master’s degree study in Philosophy and Social Sciences this past 2011 at ITESO. He has received scholarships from CONECULTA Chiapas, and from CECA Jalisco. In 1999 he got the national poetry prize «UDM» and in august 2003, he won the XVII Amado Nervo National Floral Games. He has published the following books of poetry: Where the soul is call (UNACH, 1996), The miracle of your distant voice (ITESO, 1999), The passion by an ordinary man (MANTIS EDITORS, 2002), The country of the look (LITERALIA EDITORS, 2007. Second illustrated edition), The trip we didn’t choose (LITERALIA EDITORS 2009), The shoes of the Warrior child (LA ZONÁMBULA EDITORIAL and ITESM, 2011). In 2005 he released his first novel “The poet and the kid with a stone” which was published by CECA, Jalisco. Besides having prolonged many books of literary horizon, Martín Mérida has been included in many poetic anthologies of the country, he also writes articles “From where his shoe hurts” that have been shown in national magazines and Journals.
